My research focus as an academic was on martyrdom, pilgrimage, and the visual culture of lived faith. Now as an educator and artist, I seek to create lesson plans and works that explore concepts of geographical place and identity, both on the individual and societal level. I use art and art education to reflect on how place has shaped my life, and how we impact the natural environment around us.
